Chemical producer to pay $1.4m penalty for US law violations
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Justice have announced that Dover Chemical Corporation has agreed to pay $1.4 million in civil penalties for the unauthorised manufacture of chemical substances. The settlement resolves violations of the US Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) pre-manufacture notice obligations for its production of various chlorinated paraffins. Dover Chemical produces the vast majority of the chlorinated products sold in the United States.
