The overarching aim of the SIN project is to ensure that the REACH Authorisation procedure will be an effective tool to fast-track the substitution of the most urgent Substances of Very High Concern. A key aspect of the SIN project is also to make it easier for businesses and other actors to reduce their use of toxic substances. The SIN List is therefore an important tool that legislators, businesses and NGOs can use to identify hazardous chemicals according to the REACH criteria, substitute these substances with better alternatives and push the REACH process forward.
