Norwegian government tells consumers to push for information on hazardous chemicals

The Norwegian Climate and Pollution Control Directorate (KLIF) has launched a website to help consumers find out about hazardous substances in the goods they buy. As well as highlighting what hazardous substances might be in different products, the site encourages consumers to purchase eco-labelled goods and ask retailers for information, especially for products that do not list ingredients, such as toys and clothes.
